A Celebration Poem

Balwyn Church of Christ set high on a hill, Overlooking trams, traffic, and passers – by. Built of wood with such great skill Its steeple reaching to the sky.

A stained glass window above our heads Give thanks for a soldier’s safe return. The Lord with disciples share a meal Helps communion become very real.

Thanks be to God for our wonderful church The friends who gather week by week. Praise and worship morning teas; Lots of different activities.

Happy birthday Balwyn 89 years blessed by God’s grace. So much has happened in this place We pray we‘ll continue to play our part To share God’s love with all our heart
